For this week's self directed task, I was thinking about what I should do for my next substance designer material.
Originally, I wanted to go with an 'Austro-Hungarian' style architectural design, then changed it to a baroque style, but I scraped both or these ideas due to them being too intricate to make patterns for within designer. Furthermore, I tried to make some designs within photoshop, but ultimately, they were too thin and lacked the bevel to make the height map work properly.
I felt like I had done too much glossy materials, but I didn't want to do something boring or simple, like wood or metal.
So I decided to look at some reference for something unique, when I came across the Victorian designs on the London underground and use that for my reference.
