3D Games production (Enhancement week) (Week 6)

This week I wanted to hit the brief for decals.
So I made my decals using photoshop. I imagined my scene to be raining, so I thought it would be a good idea to do puddles as decals. However, this didn't work out due to the hard edges and being one solid colour, so it would be my intention to create a vertex paint instead. No matter how much I tried to make them correct, such as clamping, removing background etc, I could not get the puddles to look correct.

In addition to the puddle decal, I wanted to create an art/graffiti style decal to fit in with the scene, using my reference, this is what I came up with.































I will use this time to utilise the decal texture sheet and split it into 4 x 1024 textures in order to add variety to my scene, hopefully this will pay off, adding certain things to my scene.
